Vulnerability Research Internship

About the role

Interrupt Labs is offering a 12‑week Vulnerability Research Internship for students passionate about security, reverse engineering and software analysis. You will develop core skills alongside experienced researchers and work on an independent project.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a 4‑week Vulnerability Researcher Bootcamp covering reverse engineering and vulnerability research fundamentals.
• Conduct an independent research project under the guidance of Interrupt Labs researchers.
• Collaborate with the team to analyse software, identify potential weaknesses and document findings.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and ability to work the full 12‑week period (Nov‑Feb).
• Based in Canberra or willing to relocate for the initial weeks.
• Final year of study or within one year of graduation with strong academic performance.
• Can provide a letter of recommendation from a lecturer or tutor.

Required skills

• Low‑level programming.
• Understanding of operating system internals.
• Knowledge of computer architectures.
• Reverse engineering techniques.
