About the role
HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers to bring a beauty parlour to its residential aged care home in Wahroonga. Residents enjoy hand massages, a splash of nail polish and other pampering moments, and many live with dementia and value these times of connection and kindness. No cutting or beauty expertise is needed.
Key responsibilities
- Offer hand massages and a splash of nail polish during one-hour (or longer) pamper sessions.
- Provide regular social visits to residents, helping them feel less isolated and improving their quality of life.
- Be available weekdays between 9am and 5pm, on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
Required profile
- Aged 18 or older.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
- Availability for weekday visits between 9am and 5pm, weekly or fortnightly.
