Volunteer Engagement Coordinator (Paid)

About the role

Family Life is seeking a passionate Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to strengthen its volunteer program across the Bayside community. This part‑time, fixed‑term position (2 years) involves coordinating recruitment, onboarding, training and support for volunteers participating in place‑based initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Attract, recruit, onboard and support volunteers across a range of programs and activities.
• Deliver volunteer training, induction and engagement activities.
• Support the delivery of volunteer‑led community activities and events.
• Build the capacity of local organisations to strengthen their volunteer programs.
• Maintain volunteer records and systems, including Salesforce.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement.
• Strong communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Understanding of issues affecting vulnerable communities.
• Valid Victorian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
