Visual Arts Teacher

About the role

A 12-month fixed-term, full-time Visual Arts teacher position at Eastern Goldfields College, a senior secondary school in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia. The position starts in Term 1, 2027, with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency. The school is part of an education precinct with Curtin University and TAFE, offering ATAR, general, VET and endorsed pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a differentiated Visual Arts curriculum that meets the needs of all students and expects all students to reach their potential.
• Teach secondary Arts and engage actively in the school and wider community.
• Reflect on teaching practice and contribute to the school's values, ethos and priorities.

Required profile

• Eligible teacher qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Australian, New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Apply for a WA Working with Children Check and obtain a Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit.

What we offer

• Country Teaching Program Allowance of $8,020 per year.
• District Allowance of $2,354 per year.
• Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $1,750 per annum, paid partly on commencement and the remainder at the end of the school year.
