Violence, Abuse and Neglect Navigator

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health is recruiting a Violence, Abuse and Neglect Navigator for its Violence, Abuse and Neglect team. The role coordinates services and referral pathways for victims and survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV) and sexual assault presenting to the health service, and supports AWH staff in identifying and responding to these issues through capacity building, education and secondary consultation. It sits in the community directorate but links with all parts of the organisation.

The position is fixed term until 30 June 2027, up to full-time FTE, with part-time considered; there is potential for extension beyond that date. The closing date is 12 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate services and referral pathways for DFV and sexual assault victims and survivors
• Support AWH staff in identifying and responding to DFV and sexual assault cases
• Build capacity and provide education
• Be available for secondary consultation

Required profile

• Degree in a social science or health-related discipline (e.g. social work, psychology, occupational therapy)
• At least 5 years of postgraduate experience in counselling or social-emotional interventions
• Ability to hold registration with the relevant professional body
• Knowledge of women's health policy and service delivery in Victoria and NSW
• Knowledge of the family violence policy and service delivery environment in Victoria and NSW
