About the role
Seven Network is looking for a dynamic Video Journalist to join its WA News team in Perth. Reporting to the WA News Editor, the role involves shooting and producing compelling news content for the daily news bulletin, within a collaborative team focused on quality programming.
Key responsibilities
- Generate original daily story ideas for on-air and online presentation
- Interview, write and voice news content
- Live broadcast
- Develop and maintain community contacts
- Research and prepare news reports, in the field or in the office
- Find and write feature stories in specific categories
Required profile
- Confident performer on camera, with strong news gathering, writing, interviewing and presenting skills
- Video journalism experience
- Proven experience writing stories
- Tertiary qualification in Journalism, Communications or a related subject (preferred)
Required skills
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Ability to work to very precise deadlines
- Understanding of Broadcast Law Guidelines
