Veterinary Nurse

About the role

4 Paws Vet is a busy, well-established veterinary practice on Sydney's Lower North Shore, serving the Neutral Bay community for over 25 years. It is growing and is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse with 3+ years' experience. The role offers varied, hands-on work and opportunities to develop practice management skills, with investment in upskilling and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across surgical and hospital nursing, including pre- and post-operative care
• Perform in-house pathology, dental procedures and radiology
• Build relationships with clients through nurse consultations, admissions and discharges, with occasional reception support
• Support the Head Nurse with the day-to-day running of the nursing team and hospital workflow
• Mentor and support junior team members and workplace students
• Handle cats confidently, given the practice's Silver ISFM accreditation

Required profile

• Experienced Veterinary Nurse with 3+ years' experience
• Positive, enthusiastic team player, calm and professional in busy situations
• Confident, highly skilled in client communication and passionate about patient care
• Eager to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities
