VCE Science Tutor (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)

About the role

Matrix Education is hiring VCE Science Tutors in Biology, Chemistry or Physics to join its Box Hill campus team. The position suits an undergraduate student who wants a stable tutoring job alongside their studies, working regular weekly shifts during the school term. Students are booked for you and bring their own work and science questions, so timetable administration and preparation is minimal.

Key responsibilities

• Run one-on-one workshops with Year 9 to 12 science students
• Mark exams and homework booklets
• Provide additional administrative support to science teachers

Required profile

• 40+ study scores in at least two of Physics, Biology and/or Chemistry
• Passion for science and teaching
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• At least six months of ongoing work experience in retail, hospitality or customer service
• Current tertiary studies in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Education-related fields are highly regarded
