VCE Maths Tutor

About the role

Matrix Education is hiring VCE Maths Tutors for its Box Hill campus. The role suits an undergraduate student who wants to share their knowledge of mathematics while balancing studies, with regular weekly shifts during the school term. Students are booked for you and bring their own work and questions, so timetable administration and preparation is minimal.

Key responsibilities

• Run one-on-one workshops with Year 7-12 maths students
• Mark exams and homework booklets
• Provide additional administrative support to maths teachers
• Carry out other ad hoc duties as required by the lead academics

Required profile

• 40+ study scores in VCE Maths Methods; exceptional results in Maths Specialist are highly regarded but not essential
• A passion for maths and teaching
• At least six months of ongoing work experience in retail, hospitality or customer service
• Tertiary studies in science, engineering, mathematics or education-related fields are highly regarded
