Utilities Maintenance Team Member (Permanent)

About the role

Warren Shire Council is inviting applications for a Utilities Maintenance Team Member within its Town Services team. Working under the direction of the Team Leader Utilities Maintenance, the role assists with all works related to the operation and maintenance of water supply and sewerage systems in Warren, Nevertire and Collie. It is a full-time position open to permanent residents or people with suitable working rights in Australia; sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in all works associated with the operation and maintenance of water supply and sewerage systems in Warren, Nevertire and Collie.
• Work proactively with a positive attitude in a cooperative team environment.

Required profile

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Class C licence.
• Positive work attitude.
• Pre-employment medical assessment required before confirmation of employment.

Desirable

• Class MR driver's licence.
• Experience in sewerage treatment plant operations.
• Experience in monitoring water supplies.
• Plant operation training.

What we offer

• Salary of $1118.30 to $1297.23 per week plus allowances.
• 12% superannuation.
• 9-day fortnight flextime system (38-hour week).
• Leave provisions as per the Local Government (State) Award.
