Underground Maintenance Electrician

About the role

PYBAR, a Thiess company providing mining services for underground hard rock mining, is looking for an experienced underground electrician to support its Raisebore Division at the Prominent Hill Mine Site in South Australia. You will work autonomously and as part of a team, expanding your knowledge of underground electrician maintenance. The position is full-time on a 14 on, 14 off roster, with flights, accommodation and meals covered.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on Raisebore and underground mining equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Inspect, test and repair electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports and inspection documentation.
• Complete all work safely in line with site procedures, statutory requirements and company policies.
• Work with operations and maintenance teams to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Relevant electrical licence.
• Proven experience working in an underground mine (essential).
• Current Australian manual drivers licence.
• Willingness to hold or obtain a current National Police Clearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive team attitude and a strong focus on safety.
