Undergraduate Environmental Planner

About the role

Join Surbana Jurong’s Queensland Environment team as an Undergraduate Environmental Planner. This position offers hands‑on experience on major infrastructure projects across renewables, utilities, transport and the upcoming Brisbane 2032 Olympics.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing environmental impact assessments, approval applications and environmental management plans.
• Support environmental studies, assessments and reporting activities.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
• Conduct research, data analysis and produce technical documentation.
• Develop practical skills while working alongside experienced environmental professionals.

Required profile

• Currently in the third or penultimate year of study in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Passionate about building a career in environmental planning and consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
