Undergraduate Civil/Structural Engineer

About the role

A part-time undergraduate engineer is sought to join the specialty and major projects team. The business provides builders and insurers with insurance reports and scopes of work for property damage, and also delivers structural, civil and stormwater design for residential, commercial and industrial developments. You will be mentored by experienced engineers and exposed to structural, civil, geotechnical, stormwater and architectural disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare causation reports on defects and damage.
• Prepare scopes of work.
• Keep billings up to date.
• Perform site inspections and liaise with stakeholders.
• Perform structural design of timber, steel and concrete structures and associated drafting.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all technical aspects of buildings.
• Prepare designs using AutoCAD.

Required profile

• Passion for engineering.
• Strong technical report writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Structural behaviour instinct.
• Keen to learn, be mentored and be part of the team.
• High-level English writing and structural analytical skills are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Ability to use AutoCAD.
