Ultrasound Supervisor

About the role

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, is the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria, with more than 19 clinics serving private hospitals, community clinics and specialist centres across Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong and Warrnambool. It is seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor to support its Ultrasound department in Geelong, working a full-time role at above-market rates.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the practice workflow to meet nominated timeframes
• Perform high-quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in line with protocols
• Manage rosters and leave for technical staff and provide leadership and direction to staff under supervision
• Identify training needs for junior sonographers
• Foster good communication with the team, patients, families, visitors and the wider public
• Work with advanced sonography in MSK, OB, Gyne and general ultrasound

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience as a Senior Sonographer, Modality Supervisor or in a similar position
• Holds ASAR and professional indemnity insurance
• Regularly takes part in further education and continued professional development
• Ability to lead and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
