Truck Driver (HC/HR) - Morning and Afternoon Shifts

About the role

Golden Cockerel is looking for experienced and reliable HC and HR truck drivers to transport goods safely, efficiently and in compliance between its manufacturing sites, distribution centres and customer locations. The role is available in both morning and afternoon shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials between Mt Cotton, Toowoomba, Morningside and customer sites
• Conduct vehicle pre-start inspections
• Set delivery routes
• Deliver product in line with customer requirements and delivery instructions
• Report any defects, incidents or compliance issues

Required profile

• Experience as a truck driver
• Current HC or HR licence (relevant to the role)
• Clean driving record with no recent serious infringements
• Willingness to undergo background and drug and alcohol screening and to provide employment references
• Ability to work long hours

Required skills

• Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements
• Relevant experience with refrigerated trucks and distribution centres is highly desirable
• Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to traffic, weather and other changing conditions
