Transport Planner

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Transport Planner to join its national Transport Planning team. The role will be based in Brisbane or Sydney and will support the delivery of transport planning projects and analysis across the Mobility Advisory unit.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to transport planning projects, including active transport, public transport and multimodal strategies, plans, studies and options assessment.
• Support the delivery of multimodal network and infrastructure planning for corridors, interchanges and precincts.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and presentations that clearly communicate analysis and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to traffic engineering assessments such as intersection operation, road safety, local area traffic management and traffic impact assessments.

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience in transport planning or precinct development.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, planning or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of traffic engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SIDRA software is advantageous.
