Transport Planner (Afternoon)

About the role

The Transport Planner (Afternoon) is a newly created position within the supply chain function of JB Hi‑Fi Group. The role supports the State Planning Hub by planning and scheduling all bulky deliveries to customers and stores, providing end‑to‑end visibility of last‑mile activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assign routes to each carrier and support delivery teams on the road through effective monitoring.
• Provide end‑of‑day reports and feedback to Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) on productivity and customer service.
• Communicate issues to DSPs and managers promptly.
• Review special activities or exceptions submitted by DSPs for approval and ensure accurate billing.
• Follow up on orders and notify customers of any changes or delays.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with carriers, DSPs and internal managers.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple delivery schedules.
• Attention to detail when reviewing reports and billing information.
