Transport Compliance Assistant (Fixed Term 12 Months)

About the role

Coogee Chemicals, a manufacturer and supplier of industrial, agricultural and mineral processing chemicals with operations in WA, Queensland, NSW and Victoria, is seeking a Transport Compliance Assistant to support its Transport Compliance Officer. The role helps maintain compliance across the fleet and transport activities, covering regulatory, safety and operational requirements. It suits someone with transport administration, compliance, fleet or logistics experience who wants to grow in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update transport compliance records and databases
• Monitor driver licences, inductions, competencies and training records
• Assist with fatigue management, mass management and NHVR compliance requirements
• Support vehicle registration, inspections, maintenance schedules and defect reporting
• Prepare compliance reports, audits and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate onboarding documentation for drivers and subcontractors
• Keep transport-related documentation accurately filed and recorded

Required profile

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration or compliance
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Right to live and work in Australia; candidates may undergo compliance checks

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience with NHVR requirements, CoR legislation or transport compliance systems is highly regarded
