Stores Assistant

About the role

The Stores Assistant supports the College of Health's teaching, research and technical activities through efficient management of the central store, ensuring staff and students have timely access to equipment and consumables. The position reports to the Team Lead, Technical Services, within the Specialist Facilities and Technical Services team, and is based in Adelaide CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the central store so that staff and students can get the equipment and consumables they need
• Balance customer service, stock management, equipment coordination and administration in a busy, collaborative environment
• Work with a broad range of staff, students, suppliers and service providers

Required profile

• Certificate III in Warehouse Operations, a relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Experience in a customer-focused service environment and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Demonstrated financial administration and accurate record-keeping skills
• Experience managing stock, equipment, purchasing or logistics activities is highly regarded
• Ability to work outside standard hours, including evenings or weekends, and possible manual handling, working at heights or in confined spaces

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders

What we offer

• Fixed-term full-time contract until December 2027
• Salary of $47,006 - $74,733 plus 17% superannuation
