About the role
The Transport Allocator supports the efficient movement of goods into major distribution centres, working closely with transport teams and customers to meet delivery timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Manage clerical and computerised operations as required.
- Process and coordinate deliveries into major DCs in cooperation with transport allocators, adhering to customer or DC timeframes.
- Provide backup support for overflow calls.
- Maintain and improve current quality standards, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Perform any other duties as requested.
Required profile
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar transport industry role.
- Capacity to make accurate decisions in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
- Enthusiastic attitude with the ability to develop a positive culture.
- Proven planning, problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
