Transmission Line Engineer

About the role

We are expanding our transmission line design capability in Sydney and are looking for engineers who want to stay hands‑on with design rather than move into pure project management. The role involves working on real HV and EHV transmission projects from tender stage through detailed design and construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modelling of transmission lines using PLS‑CADD, PLS‑Tower and PLS‑Pole.
• Perform route, clearance and constructability assessments.
• Design towers, structures and foundations, and produce stringing charts, plan and profile drawings.
• Provide technical input to tenders and support live projects, including construction support and resolution of design queries.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, civil, structural and project delivery teams.

Required profile

• Experience in transmission line design, tower/structural design or transmission foundations.
• Background from consultancy, network, contractor or EPC environment.
• Ability to understand how transmission infrastructure is designed and delivered.
