Training Facilitator – Employability Skills

About the role

APM is seeking a Training Facilitator to deliver Employability Skills Training (EST) to participants across Wollongong. In this role you will design and lead engaging sessions that improve job readiness, confidence and career planning for diverse groups, including youth, mature‑age seekers and culturally diverse participants.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate tailored workshops on employability, job‑search techniques and foundational workplace skills.
• Adapt training materials to suit different cohorts and learning styles, incorporating current industry trends.
• Provide one‑on‑one coaching to help participants set career goals and overcome barriers.
• Design and update training resources using real‑world scenarios and employer feedback.
• Monitor learner progress through assessments, feedback and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a career counsellor, career development trainer or similar role.
• Ability to use specialised career assessment tools and develop individual pathway plans.
• Strong relationship‑building and networking skills with a focus on client outcomes.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality customer service in a collaborative environment.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or in progress).
