Training and Development Officer

About the role

Join Sofitel Brisbane Central’s Talent & Culture team as a Training & Development Officer. You will own the learning agenda, ensuring staff have the skills and knowledge to deliver luxury hospitality experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver Sofitel, Accor and hotel‑specific training programmes.
• Own mandatory training, monitor completion and keep the hotel audit‑ready.
• Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
• Lead onboarding, support performance discussions and career pathways.
• Manage relationships with TAFEs, universities and education providers for apprenticeships, traineeships and internships.
• Maintain accurate training records, dashboards and compliance reporting for senior leadership.

Required profile

• People‑focused learning professional with experience in L&D, training or hospitality.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to analyse data into action.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
