Trainer & Assessor – Heavy Mobile Equipment

About the role

Deliver accredited TAFE training for Certificate III Mobile Plant Equipment and Certificate II Servicing to apprentices and pre‑apprentices at Fortescue's Cloudbreak mine. You will also develop, validate and moderate training assessment plans, strategies and learning resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist day‑to‑day operations of the Trade Training Centre, including process updates and facility maintenance.
• Design, develop, validate and moderate TAPs, TASs, assessments and learning materials, and record results.
• Ensure the Training Delivery Schedule is prepared 12 months in advance and approved by the Superintendent.
• Conduct workshop and apprenticeship inductions and familiarisations.
• Deliver professional development courses for Fortescue employees and undertake audits and safety processes as required.

Required profile

• Trade qualification – Certificate III in Heavy Mobile Equipment or Automotive Electrical (highly desirable).
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) plus Forklift, Dogging and Overhead Crane qualifications.
• Proven experience developing and delivering accredited training within the ASQA/TAC/RTO framework.
• Experience managing training workshops and supervising teams of 10 or more.
• Willingness to undertake Battery Electric training for future delivery.
