Trade Counter / Customer Service Worker

About the role

A Canberra-based client in the technical wholesale supply sector is looking for a trade counter / customer service worker. The role covers warehouse operations, inventory management and customer service, with staff keeping stock accurate and making sure products are available when needed. It is a Monday to Friday position paid at $37.50 per hour plus penalties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with stock control and inventory management
• Support warehouse operations including picking and packing
• Help customers find the right products and solutions (training provided)
• Use internal systems to process orders and enquiries (training provided)
• Deliver good counter service and support trade customers
• Build strong relationships with local tradies and technicians
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workspace

Required profile

• Experience in warehousing is preferable
• A forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
• Customer service or retail experience (trade or technical environments highly regarded)
• Confidence communicating with customers and teammates
• Strong relationship-building skills and a practical mindset

Required skills

• Forklift operation (training and support offered for the right candidate)
• Order processing using internal systems
