Trade Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, safety‑focused Trade Assistant to join our Mackay team. This town‑based position offers stable, full‑time hours and a variety of practical tasks supporting our logistics and yard operations.

Key responsibilities

• High‑volume forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks.
• Handling parts and materials, general labouring, housekeeping and yard/workshop upkeep.
• Assembly and dismantling work, spotter duties.
• Adhering to safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Completing job paperwork, risk assessments and daily documentation.
• Maintaining equipment, vehicles and PPE to company standards.

Required profile

• MR or HR Class Driver’s Licence.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF).
• Current Dogging Licence (desirable).
• Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
• Strong safety focus and solid work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and solve problems.

Required skills
