Territory Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

About the role

Rexel is seeking a commercially minded Territory Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to own and grow business across the Rockhampton territory and surrounding region. You will manage an established territory, build strong customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities that drive both sales and margin growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales across the Rockhampton territory and surrounds.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, branch teams and other key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long‑term accounts.
• Prepare tailored sales proposals, presentations and solutions.
• Drive margin growth as well as revenue.
• Use CRM as the central source of customer information and activity.
• Promote Rexel’s multi‑channel offering, including branch, webstore, email and phone.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in BDM, account management or territory sales.
• Track record of achieving sales and margin targets.
• Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a territory effectively.
• Experience in electrical wholesaling, trades, building, construction or a related commercial environment is highly regarded.
• Current, clean driver’s licence.
