Terminal Operations Coordinator

About the role

Ampol is recruiting a Terminal Operations Coordinator for its Kurnell Terminal, reporting to the Terminal Operations Specialist. You will support the management and coordination of all terminal-related operations so that products are delivered safely, reliably and effectively to customers. The role runs on a rotating roster covering day and night shifts, and comprehensive training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping discharge operations and inventory management
• Support safe and efficient terminal operations, including product movements, tank farm operations and pipeline transfers
• Oversee the operational performance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
• Support the safe operation of terminal SCADA and DCS control systems
• Coordinate, permit and supervise terminal projects and maintenance activities
• Contribute to incident-free performance, asset cost management and support for strategic infrastructure projects
• Deliver good service to internal and external customers, resellers and gate customers, and support stock replenishment shipping (including overtime, weekends and public holidays)

Required profile

• Previous experience in the petroleum industry or hazardous facilities is desirable
• Working knowledge of terminal and pipeline operations and of issuing/receiving work permits is desirable
• Positive, can-do attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to the highest safety standards
• Ability to commit to a rotating roster

Required skills

• SAP experience is desirable
• Good sound knowledge of industry and safety standards
• Planning and organising skills, ability to work autonomously and good verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in MS Office
