Technology Resilience Risk Manager

About the role

As a Manager, Technology Resilience Risk you will provide independent Line 2 oversight of operational risk across Group Technology, focusing on infrastructure, cloud services and service management. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will partner with technology and risk teams to ensure critical services are secure, reliable and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Line 2 oversight activities – scoping, scheduling, reviewing and challenging controls to drive measurable resilience outcomes.
• Maintain an independent view of emerging technology and cyber risks using KRIs, incidents and assurance data to identify trends and escalation needs.
• Review and challenge risk‑in‑change for major technology initiatives, including remediation plans, residual risk assessments and control effectiveness.
• Produce executive‑ready risk opinions, governance papers and briefings that clearly articulate risks, control gaps and recommended actions.
• Support regulatory and audit engagements through evidence validation, remediation oversight and timely escalation of material risks.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Line 2 technology or cyber risk within a complex, APRA‑regulated environment.
• Proven ability to conduct evidence‑based control assessments and articulate clear risk positions, including residual risk and risk acceptance.
• Deep knowledge of APRA CPS230/234 requirements and experience engaging with auditors and regulators.
• Enterprise‑wide leadership in a matrixed organisation with strong influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Executive communication capability to produce concise, decision‑ready risk papers for senior governance forums.
