Technology Associate Program (Traineeship)

About the role

The Technology Associate Program is a traineeship designed for people from non-traditional pathways who want to enter the tech workforce for the first time, in roles within Engineering, Data Science or Cybersecurity. It offers an earn-while-you-learn experience with long-term opportunities, and is tailored to each participant's needs.

Participants join established teams working on technologies used by more than 17 million customers, such as the Cardless Cash, Spend Tracker, Benefits Finder and Step Pay apps. The program is open to people based in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth who can work at least two days per week.

Required profile

• An alternative education pathway aligned to Engineering, Data Science or Cybersecurity, such as TAFE, a traineeship, a bootcamp, micro-credentials or vendor certifications; a TAFE diploma is noted as a good starting point
• Completed your most recent tech qualification within the last 12 months, or due to complete it within the next 3 months
• Less than 12 months of working experience in tech
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency
• Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth
• Willingness to share and receive support from a large community of technologists
