Technologies Specialist Teacher (Primary)

About the role

Townsville Grammar School, one of Queensland's original Grammar Schools, is offering a permanent position starting Term 1, 2027 for a teacher of Digital and Design Technologies across Prep to Year 6. The role works across the Annandale and North Shore Junior School campuses. The school offers boarding and runs the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Required profile

• A relevant teaching qualification and QCT registration are mandatory.
• Significant previous experience teaching Technologies to primary students is desirable, but suitably qualified early career teachers will be considered.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and support students in their technological journey, including those with diverse needs and abilities.
• Commitment to the aims and ethos of independent schools and willingness to take part in the school's co-curricular and pastoral life.
• Attendance at school functions such as Meet and Greet, Parent-Teacher Nights, Speech Day, Open Night, Subject Information Nights, School Camps, Sports Carnivals and cultural performances.

Required skills

• Ability to develop, plan and deliver effective, high-quality learning experiences.
• Demonstrated competence in classroom management.
