Technical Services and Reliability Engineer

About the role

Airnorth is recruiting a Technical Services and Reliability Engineer to join its Continuing Airworthiness team in the Perth office. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the role provides technical support to ensure the safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness of the Airnorth fleet. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with availability after hours for urgent operational matters.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all aircraft are repaired and modified in line with OEM and Part 21 instructions.
• Provide technical assistance to the Technical Services Manager for efficient fleet operation.
• Liaise with Engineering and Flight Operations on technical matters and defect troubleshooting.
• Assess technical documents such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and Engineering Orders.
• Monitor and oversee the reliability review program and evaluate aircraft system and engine trend data.
• Provide maintenance technical support and liaise with CASR Part 21 representatives, manufacturers and regulators.

Required profile

• Aviation-related engineering or trade licence and/or experience as LAME, or tertiary engineering qualification.
• Sound knowledge of reliability systems and/or statistical analysis.
• Ability to research and write reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements and working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs.
• Previous experience with maintenance management software and databases (e.g. Envision, IAS, TRAX, Winair).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an ASIC; legal right to live and work in Australia.
