Technical Product Manager

About the role

BJAK is building a Neobank Superapp for Southeast Asia. As a Technical Product Manager you will own a product vertical such as payments, expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth and trading, driving strategy, outcomes and technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vertical end‑to‑end, defining outcomes, metrics, backlog prioritisation and acceptance criteria.
• Shape technical design with engineering, covering system boundaries, money‑movement correctness, third‑party rail behaviour, security, latency and scalability.
• Make hard trade‑offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability and UX and defend them to stakeholders.
• Treat regulated constraints as first‑class inputs, managing licensing, KYC, sanctions screening and data residency.
• Apply AI where it adds value, defining model decision scope, human‑in‑the‑loop points and evaluation criteria.
• Ship features behind flags, coordinating with engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury and finance.

Required profile

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end‑to‑end with strong judgement under ambiguity.
• Solid system design knowledge (boundaries, datastores, queues, APIs, failure modes, concurrency consistency).
• Experience in a regulated/high‑consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance or insurance.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM‑based AI products and realistic understanding of model limitations.
