Technical Field Engineer

About the role

St Vincent's is recruiting multiple Technical Field Engineers to strengthen its NSW Digital & Technology operations, which support a business-critical National Service Management footprint. The role provides first and second-level technical support for computer, telephony, software and hardware issues, onsite and remotely across the Hospital and Aged Care network. It is offered as a max-term contract until 26 June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt 1st and 2nd level support for end-user IT hardware and software issues, onsite and remotely
• Troubleshoot, monitor and restore PCs and devices connected to the network, including Windows desktops, Office 365, network connectivity, printer queues and device drivers
• Maintain equipment, stock and spare parts at designated locations
• Support nurse call systems, telephony handsets and meeting room AV equipment
• Take part in the after-hours on-call roster (on-call allowance and call-out payments apply)

Required profile

• Cert IV in Information Technology Support, or at minimum Cert III in Information Technology Support with significant similar experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in telecommunications, desktop, field engineering or another relevant IT role
• Ability to join the mandatory after-hours on-call roster
• Current valid driver's licence and 24/7 access to a reliable car (vehicle usage allowance applies)
• Previous exposure to healthcare operational environments highly regarded
