Technical Accountant - Senior Associate, Capital Markets Advisory

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Senior Associate in its Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Assurance Services (CMAAS) team in Melbourne. You will deliver technical advisory services that help clients assess their readiness for IPOs, capital raisings and other complex capital market transactions, covering regulatory requirements, financial reporting and strategic considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in assessing their readiness for IPOs, capital raisings and other capital market transactions through technical reviews and advisory services
• Help evaluate financial reporting processes, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks and operational preparedness
• Analyse financial information, accounting treatments and disclosures to identify areas of risk and improvement
• Work with client management and other stakeholders to give clear, practical recommendations
• Prepare documentation, reports and technical briefs for advisory engagements
• Contribute to developing and refining CMAAS methodologies and tools

Required profile

• 2-4 years' experience in technical accounting, corporate finance, advisory or audit roles; exposure to capital markets transactions or IPO readiness preferred
• Understanding of accounting standards, regulatory frameworks and market practices relevant to IPOs and capital raisings
• Ability to interpret complex financial and business information, assess risks and recommend actions
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork and client service mindset
