Technical Accountant Manager - Capital Markets Advisory

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Manager for its Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Assurance Services (CMAAS) team in Melbourne. You will lead and deliver high-impact technical advisory engagements focused on IPO readiness, capital raisings and complex capital market transactions, guiding clients through regulatory compliance, financial reporting challenges and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements assessing readiness for IPOs, capital raisings and other capital market transactions through technical reviews and advisory services
• Oversee evaluation of financial reporting processes, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks and operational preparedness
• Provide senior-level analysis of accounting treatments, disclosures and complex financial data to identify risks and recommend improvements
• Work with senior client management and stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable strategies
• Manage the preparation and review of documentation, reports and technical briefs
• Contribute to developing and improving CMAAS methodologies, tools and team capabilities

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in technical accounting, corporate finance, advisory or audit roles, with significant exposure to capital markets transactions and IPO readiness
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, regulatory frameworks and market practices governing IPOs and capital raisings
• Ability to interpret complex financial and business issues, assess risks and give pragmatic recommendations
• Ability to lead teams, mentor colleagues and build trusted, long-term client relationships
