Team Leader - Supported Independent Living (SIL)

About the role

CSBS is seeking an experienced, values-driven Team Leader to lead two Supported Independent Living (SIL) services in Ipswich. This full-time, hands-on role combines direct participant support with leadership, coaching and service coordination, working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure participants receive supports that reflect their goals, choices, rights and aspirations, in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Support Workers across two SIL sites
• Provide hands-on support to participants with complex disability and health support needs
• Run staff supervision, reflective practice sessions and performance conversations
• Liaise with families, nominees, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders
• Support participant choice and decision-making about their homes, routines and supports
• Monitor documentation, reporting and compliance requirements
• Manage household purchasing, consumables and approved budgets
• Promote Positive Behaviour Support and safe support delivery
• Ensure supports meet NDIS Practice Standards and CSBS policies and procedures

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting people with disability
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating teams
• Open to female applicants only; this is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) and Queensland Blue Card
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and a current Queensland driver's licence
• Reliable insured vehicle
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or similar (or willingness to undertake)
