Team Leader - Mental Health

About the role

Bayside Health is recruiting a Team Leader for its Adult Community Mental Health Team in Frankston. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday, classified as RPN Grade 4 / Allied Health Grade 4. Working closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Psychiatrist, the Team Leader provides clinical leadership and supports the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of services for consumers, their families and carers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff, contributing to clinical governance, workforce development, service quality and positive consumer outcomes
• Foster a positive team culture and support staff to deliver safe, effective, recovery-oriented care
• Contribute to workforce coordination, human resource and financial management, service planning, operational targets and key performance indicators, together with the Team Manager
• Maintain a clinical caseload, supporting clinical decision-making and staying current with community mental health service delivery

Required profile

• Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration; RPN only needs a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health qualification
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience
• At least 5 years' experience in the mental health field, including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care
• Ability to provide therapeutic interventions and role model practice aligned with the Recovery-Oriented Framework
• Training in clinical supervision
• Current Victorian driver's licence and Victorian Working with Children check (or willingness to obtain)
