Team Leader (EN Qualified) - Home Care

About the role

Calvary Health Care is looking for a Team Leader in its home care service in Dandenong, Victoria. The Team Leader plays an integral role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents at all times, supporting the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to coordinate care across the home while meeting each resident's individual needs, wishes and goals. The position is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses or Personal Care Workers with appropriate qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to all residents so that care is holistic and person-centred.
• Support coordination of residents' care needs, including medication management, nutrition and hydration, and pressure care management.
• Lead and supervise care on the shift within their designated wing or area.
• Perform medicine-related tasks in line with their scope of qualification, state or territory legislation and regulations, and Calvary's policies and delegation and supervision procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing, with APRHA registration to administer medication.
• Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Personal Care Worker with appropriate qualifications.
• High level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Effective listener able to communicate orally and in writing at all levels.
• Current National Police Check.
• Evidence of immunisation as required for the role.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
• Ability to use information technology and programs and to learn new skills as required.
