Team Leader Counselling Service & Discipline Senior

About the role

Bayside Health, a public health service covering metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland, is recruiting a Team Leader for its Counselling Service and Discipline. The role is permanent full time (76 hours per fortnight) in Frankston, within a skilled and collaborative team that delivers evidence-based mental health support across Community Health sites. It combines clinical and operational oversight, supporting psychologists and social workers to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Required profile

• Registered Psychologist with AHPRA, with Board Approved Supervisor (Psychology) endorsement and AHPRA endorsement in a relevant area of practice.
• At least 8 years' experience as a generally registered psychologist and/or providing counselling services.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated effective leadership, management and supervision of clinicians, and ability to manage risk associated with counselling clients.
• Experience working with vulnerable client groups, especially those with complex issues such as family violence, substance use and child safety.

Required skills

• Extensive clinical knowledge and experience in psychological interventions, with a broad understanding of therapeutic approaches suitable for community health settings.
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
