Team Lead - Behavior Support Practitioner

About the role

HenderCare is seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Team Lead to join its growing Allied Health team in Adelaide. This is a permanent full-time position that leads and mentors Behaviour Support Practitioners while the holder keeps a clinical caseload. The role provides clinical guidance, mentoring and quality oversight of Positive Behaviour Support Plans, with a focus on improving quality of life and reducing and eliminating restrictive practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise Behaviour Support Practitioners at all levels
• Apply the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework thoroughly
• Support practitioners with complex behavioural and functional analysis, risk assessments and clinical decision-making
• Maintain a clinical caseload and develop high-quality PBS plans
• Collaborate with parents, families, carers and other service providers
• Monitor referrals, team capacity, service quality and clinical outcomes across various settings
• Support clinical induction, performance reviews and professional development
• Identify practice risks and opportunities for improvement, including regulatory compliance

Required profile

• Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• Right to work in Australia; successful candidates must pass pre-employment checks
