About the role
The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is inviting teachers at all career stages to join Tasmanian Government schools. Positions are available across district, high, isolated, hard‑to‑staff and support schools, covering a broad range of learning areas.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum in assigned learning areas such as English, STEM, Humanities, Health and Physical Education.
- Foster inclusive, evidence‑based and trauma‑informed classroom environments.
- Mentor and collaborate with colleagues to support professional growth.
- Engage with local communities, especially in regional and remote locations.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher registration for Tasmania.
- Willingness to work in diverse settings, including regional and remote schools.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative practice.
Required skills
- Subject‑specific pedagogical expertise (e.g., English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health & PE).
