About the role

Join a mission‑driven Christian organisation located just outside beautiful Hervey Bay. As a Teacher you will deliver engaging, high‑quality learning experiences through project‑based learning, planned lessons and effective classroom management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver innovative lessons tailored to individual student needs.
• Create and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to meet behavioural and educational goals.
• Build strong relationships with students, providing positive role modelling, guidance and wellbeing support.
• Manage student behaviour proactively to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Current Queensland Teacher Registration.
• Suitability for Working with Children (Blue Card) and a Working with Children Check.
• Experience or willingness to learn trauma‑informed practices.
• Passion for supporting marginalised youth and those affected by adverse childhood experiences.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and empathy.
• Ability to collaborate with students, staff and external professionals.
• Organised, adaptable and proactive in fostering a safe, values‑driven environment.
