Teacher (English and HPE preferred)

About the role

Catholic Education Cairns is seeking a teacher to join St Teresa's School in Ravenshoe, Queensland, starting in 2027. The school is situated in the highest town in Queensland, surrounded by World Heritage-listed rainforest, and is a Catholic school aligned with the example of Jesus Christ. The position is part-time, fixed-term, at 24 hours per week, running from 16 January 2027 to 14 January 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive school environment
• Work under the direction of the school Principal or delegate

Required profile

• Registered or eligible to be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
• Experience or specialisation in English and HPE is an advantage

• Salary commensurate with experience: $86,660 FTE gross per annum for graduates to $126,795 FTE gross per annum for experienced proficient teachers, plus 12.75% superannuation
