Teacher Aide - Learning Support

About the role

Caloundra Christian College is looking for a Teacher Aide (Learning Support) to join its Independent Learning Community. This is a 12-month part-time contract, working about 2 days (12 hours) per week, with possible relief days, in a secondary school setting. The aide works under teacher direction to maximise student learning outcomes and provide classroom and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Support individuals and small groups with literacy, numeracy and tailored learning activities.
• Help prepare classroom materials, adapt tasks and implement teacher-led programs.
• Model Christian values and support students' social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
• Assist with playground supervision and classroom administration.

Required profile

• Active local church involvement and alignment with the college's Statement of Faith.
• Valid Queensland 'Paid' Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• First Aid and CPR certification in an education setting.
• A Certificate or Diploma in Education Support is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Strong communication, time management and technical skills.
• Patient and collaborative approach.
