Tax Manager - Australian Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead high‑value tax advisory engagements while mentoring a high‑performing team. You will translate complex Australian tax legislation into actionable commercial insights for key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate tax advisory projects, including restructures, M&A due diligence, and international tax planning.
• Oversee delivery of corporate tax compliance services for a diverse client base.
• Mentor, supervise and review work of senior accountants and consultants, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Act as primary advisor for key clients, providing commercial insights based on Australian tax law.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (Master of Tax or CTA highly regarded).
• Proven experience in an Australian professional services or public practice environment at Senior Consultant or Manager level.
• Demonstrated leadership in reviewing work, managing workflows and developing junior to mid‑level tax staff.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and client‑facing communication skills.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian corporate tax legislation: CGT, FBT, GST, Division 7A, thin capitalisation.
