Tax Consultant – Full/Part‑time Role in Salisbury

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Consultant (Tax Accountant) to join our close‑knit chartered accounting practice in Salisbury. The position can be full‑time or part‑time, offering a varied workload with direct client ownership in a friendly suburban environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships.
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts.
• Ensure all client work is completed on time and to a high standard.
• Liaise directly with clients and the Australian Taxation Office as required.
• Perform general bookkeeping, BAS and other compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of practical experience in a public accounting firm.
• Degree or Diploma in accounting or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or BGL360.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and client‑focused communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
