Tax Consultant – Advisory Role

About the role

Join Kelly+Partners' Tax & Legal Consulting team in Sydney CBD and work on a variety of complex tax advisory projects for private business owners, family groups and high‑net‑worth individuals. You will move beyond routine compliance to provide strategic tax advice across corporate, international and indirect tax areas.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver tax advisory services to diverse client groups.
• Research complex technical matters covering corporate tax, international tax, GST, payroll tax and other indirect taxes.
• Prepare tax advice, technical reports, private ruling applications and supporting documentation.
• Support transaction and restructuring work, including acquisitions, disposals, group restructures and due‑diligence engagements.
• Assist with ATO reviews, audits, disputes and objections through research, analysis and documentation.
• Build strong client relationships by translating business needs into clear, commercial tax advice.

Required profile

• Relevant tax qualification or experience in tax advisory for private businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical advice in a commercial context.
