Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join a well‑established organisation with a people‑first culture. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will ensure compliance with Australian tax legislation and provide expert tax advice to finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and oversee BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Income Tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely lodgements.
• Provide tax advice and technical support, including research, training and guidance on complex tax matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of tax processes, work papers, reporting templates, systems and controls.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, due diligence, acquisitions, restructuring projects and liaise with external advisors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, with CA or CPA qualification completed or underway.
• Proven experience in corporate tax or public practice with strong understanding of Australian taxation and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities to interpret complex tax legislation with high accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment and engage effectively with stakeholders.
