Talent Attraction Specialist

About the role

The AFL is seeking a proactive Talent Attraction Specialist to build and nurture relationships with exceptional talent across Australia. You will act as an ambassador for the league, connecting high‑performing candidates with future opportunities before they even arise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines for a wide range of functions within the AFL.
• Identify and engage diverse candidate pools, expanding the AFL’s reach into new talent markets.
• Partner closely with hiring leaders and People Business Partners to understand hiring needs and align talent strategies.
• Promote the AFL’s employer brand, sharing its purpose, culture, and employee experience.
• Conduct outreach activities, including phone calls, networking events, and candidate meetings, to keep talent warm.

Required profile

• Highly connected professional with a passion for relationship building.
• Curious, initiative‑driven, and comfortable reaching out to passive candidates.
• Strong communication and storytelling abilities to convey the AFL’s brand.

Required skills

• Experience in talent attraction, sourcing, or recruitment.
• Familiarity with talent pipeline management and candidate relationship tools.
